30th Annual
SOSS Enrichment Fund Society
Golf Tournament at Fairview Mountain Golf Course
August 9, 2025

Thank you to 102 golfers that supported our 30th annual enrichment fund society fund raising golf tournament.
While Fairview Mountain celebrates 100 years of golfing in our community we celebrated 30 years of our society, our tournament and partnership with Fairview Mountain. Like Fairview Mountain we have adapted and changed to meet the times.
NOW
We host a one-day golf tournament with activities and food on the course. We have teams made up of three women and three men. We have a silent auction, live auction and ball draw in the clubhouse after a scrumptious buffet dinner. The community businesses and members are very generous with their donations. We have a platinum sponsor, Wood Gundy represented by Kyle Hamaguchi and Jim Dunlop. We were very lucky to have a photographer, Randy Rotheisler, who took teams photos that captured friends and family on the golf course having a wonderful time. The photos are emailed to each participant and shared on our website.

We have loyal sponsors that keep our tournament alive. This year we had 13 sponsors that own and operate businesses in Oliver and also saw a new sponsor this year, the Okanagan Falls Skaha Lake Winery Association.
Our secure endowment fund continues to grow and this year alone, $53,000 was awarded to SOSS graduating students attending post-secondary education.
The society directors generously volunteer their time to make it the best home-grown Oliver charity golf tournament experience possible.
And there is a golf tournament with winning teams.
Top Teams:
1) Greg Casorso, Jim Bousfield, Jonathan Gilman, Melissa Carter, Kim Martens, Cara Schiele
2) Anna Lindsay, Lloyd Lindsay, Bev Young, Andy Marsel, Lori Periana, Craig Olley
3)Rob Tadey, Kevin Schulze, Luke Shawyer, Sam Tadey, Cayla McLean, Kim Kelly
And the big winners are the graduating students from SOSS who are awarded scholarships that help them on their journey to further education. The Enrichment Fund Society awarded $53,000.00 in scholarships to the graduating class of 2025.

And last, but not least, we would like to extend our thanks to Brian McDonald, Rob Tadey and all of the Fairview Mtn staff who helped make our 30th annual golf tournament a success.
Fairview Mountain has been generous enough to host our annual fund raising tournament for 30 years, and we look forward to them hosting this event for many years to come.
